The Threshing Floor

It has been some time since God gave me the revelation of the the threshing floor. It has come to my attention that now would be a good time for this word to be released.

The first part of the message came to me in a vision, I saw a wheat field with standing wheat; and working in the field were seven harvesters each having a sickle. They were walking side by side singing a song and swinging their sickles to the beat of the music as they cut down the wheat, the Lord spoke to me and said, “This is a harvest. In the beginning of the harvest there is a separation from the earth.” And the wheat was separated from the earth.

Then I saw seven men walking behind them with cords made of wool hanging from their hip from a belt. They were walking behind the harvesters gathering the wheat into bundles, and binding them together with the cords. I knew that this binding was the formation of churches.

Then I saw seven men come and pick up the bundles and carry them to a hill, the top of the hill was a large rock floor and it was surrounded by cloth walls like tent walls, like the wall that surrounded the tabernacle that Moses had built according to God’s design. I knew that they were taking the wheat to the threshing floor, as they stacked the bundles of wheat outside of the walls of the threshing floor, I heard the bundles begin to speak to me. And they were saying, “We are wheat!, we are wheat!” Then the Lord spoke to me and He said, “This is not wheat.” Then I said to the Lord, “But Lord, it looks like wheat to me.”

Then the next thing I knew I was standing inside the walls, men were carrying the bundles onto the threshing floor they were unbinding them and casting them on the threshing floor. So that what was bound together was now separated and strewn about on a hard place. The threshing floor was massive, it appeared to be at least one hundred yards in diameter. And completely covered with unbound wheat.

Then I saw seven men who were carrying threshing tools, which appeared to be like Chinese nun-chucks. A tool that I more associate with weaponry than with wheat production. They were standing side by side, I recognized them, they were the same men who had formerly been the harvesters, with the sickles. They were walking side by side and again they were singing a song. It was a different song than the first one. The first song had been about the beginning, this song was about the end. It was the song of the end of the ages. As they sang and walked, they beat the wheat to the rhythm of the song.

Behind them came seven men who were formerly binding the wheat, they picked up the stalks which were now empty of the seed as they carried these large bundles past the wall I could see through the opening they were walking through, that they were carrying the stalks to a large fire, and throwing the stalks into the fire.

Then after all these things had been accomplished, I saw all the servants putting the seed into bags and carrying it to the barn. And God spoke to me and said, “This is the wheat.” God said, “This wheat field began with Jesus He was the Holy and first seed He fell to the ground and died so that He would bear much fruit. since Jesus; many seasons have come, many harvests and many plantings just like Jesus when a planting comes many are called to fall to the ground and to die, so that they will bear much fruit, in this way the blood of the cross has been running and flowing throughout the church age. And their have been many great harvests.”

Then God continued, “But now there is a new thing. More will die than have ever died before, and more will be harvested than have ever been harvested before. But before this there will be more seed prepared for the planting than has ever been prepared before. The preparation happens on the threshing floor. It is painful and difficult unless you are separated from everything that is not Me you will not be fit to reproduce and multiply.”

This is a time when many are crying out unity and peace and yet in the church we see a great falling away and more division than we have ever seen, and more unrest. There are now more home churches in every city than there are traditional churches. There is more revelation in books and tapes and video tapes than we have ever had. And yet there is more inactivity in these revelations than we have ever seen. Except for large isolated pockets in the world, there is relatively little else happening.

What is actually happening is that the servants of God the Christians are beginning to go through the threshing floor experience. Marriages in the church are under more trial than they have ever been. There is more separation in households than there has ever been in the church. And there is more disagreement between church leadership and the people as the people begin to realize that we are way off the mark. And yet it seems like no one knows where the mark really is. There is more depression, suicide, drug abuse, use of pornography and every other evil thing in the church than there has ever been.

As we go to the threshing floor we are being separated from our sin and every other thing that is not of God. Because many do not want to go through this process they are resisting anybody and anything that is either willing to go through the process or anybody that is calling the process something of God. And so there is a great separation that is being created by peoples reaction to the work of the Spirit in their lives, even though the Spirit Himself would not cause separation, but as Jesus said, “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword for I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter in law against her mother in-law and a mans enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of Me and he who does not take up his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me he who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for my sake will find it he who receives you receives Me. And he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”

This is a time to abandon and let go of every pursuit other than God. Whatever else is going on in your life put it down take up your cross and follow after Jesus. I mean after all when Jesus said, “Follow Me.” He was headed to a cross, and his own death. He was not headed to a mansion on earth with two top of the line SUV’s in the parking lot and a great big RV with His ministry insignia painted on the side, Parked by His house, with fields of daisies surrounding His vast earthly abode. Remember the man who said to Jesus let me first burry my father then I will follow you. Remember what Jesus said to the man? He said, “Follow Me; and let the dead bury their own dead.”

It was easy to talk about total abandon while we were sitting and soaking while singing worship songs swaying back and fourth with our hands in the air in a beautifully carpeted church in the safety of an agreeable church atmosphere. However that is not total abandon; total abandon is doing what Jesus did, saying what Jesus said, and living out what Jesus lived out, at the expense of your own life, that you may produce much fruit.

The fruit that you will produce is not spiritual character, that’s something that God does to you as you get closer to Him. The fruit that you will produce is new born baby Christians, it is important to note that we were called to make disciples of them, and not just converts of them. This would be very difficult if it were just one man, but God is raising up a Holy church called the Bride and she will bear children at the expense of her own life, just like Jesus did. So in this way there is a unity that is coming but it is not created when thousands of people of many different denominations come together, hold hands, and sing koom by ya songs. It is created when a people that have been tested by God (been on the threshing floor.) and have said, yes I will surrender to the commission and desire of my God. There is only one thing that will assure that you will surrender to God in this way, it is love for God and nothing else. Because any other motivation would lead you to a different destination only love for God would cause you to follow Him to your own death.

So this is the word. “DIE WELL!!!”  Abandon everything but your God. Put aside every pursuit and do not listen to those that talk to you about, balance, or compromise, or having your cake and eating it to. “Follow Me.” That simple command that Jesus gave to everyone He called, including you, this is the season to respond to that call and everything that goes with it. Remember what Jesus said to Peter, “truly, truly I say to you when you were younger you used to gird yourself and you walked wherever you wished; but when you grow old you will stretch out your hands and someone else will gird you and bring you where you do not wish to go.” Now this he said signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God and when he had spoken this he said to him.” “Follow Me.”

In His service,

Daniel Paul Hoskins
