The Map Room

2003

Amos 3:7-8

One of the first visions that the Lord ever showed me, I saw while having a telephone conversation with my mother. It was like watching television and carrying on a conversation at the same time. I thought to myself that this was very amazing, but even more amazing is that I have rarely seen a man including myself that could mentally do more than one thing at a time! This, I believe, was the biggest miracle of the whole event!

At first all I perceived was that I was standing in what appeared to be a dark room with very low light. As I looked to the center of the room I could see a table. It wasn’t just any table, it looked more like a large butchers block. It was a very heavy table about 12 inches thick and had four very thick legs, about 6×6 inches each, while the table stood about waist high. It seemed to be about 3 feet wide and 7 feet long. When I approached the table the light in the room increased but still it was not very bright. I noticed that there was a beam attached to the left side of the table between the corners and stood about 3 feet high. On it’s end there was circular fixture that looked like a cup holder.

I examined this table for a while before I began to notice my clothing. I was dressed very differently. I wore a combination of clothing and armor that I was familiar with from the Word of God but it looked different than I had ever envisioned it. I was wearing the priestly linen clothes that were described in the book of Exodus. The predominant color was white with colors of purple, scarlet and blue. There was gold strands woven all through the material. The turban I wore was a combination half turban and half helmet. The turban being the border of the helmet with armor extending from underneath turban at the back of my helmet and down to my shoulders. I had a breastplate and a shield was strapped to my upper left arm. My sword was jeweled, heavy and hung at my hip. A belt of truth was affixed firmly around my waist with a bright red ruby looking jewel in the center of the hasp. My feet and shins were girded with armor that I knew to be the preparation of the Gospel. I was very impressed with this attire and I felt honored to wear it and even more excited that I was allowed to see it.

Once again I looked up at the table. I stepped up to the edge of the table, placed my hands on either side and leaned forward resting my weight on my arms. As I did this the room became much brighter! I was looking at the surface of the table but when the room became bright I looked up across the table to see the source of light. There standing across the table with His hands placed the same way as mine and looking back at me was the Lord! He was dressed like me only His rank was much higher. I knew by the clothing that He wore that His rank was singular indicating that there is only one of that rank. It is reserved for the Lord of hosts and only He and no other wears the insignia of that rank.

My eyes were firmly fixed on Him I had no idea why I was here or what I was supposed to be doing. I was just happy to be with the Lord. He then looked at the wall to His right and motioned for me to look as well. I looked and saw a rack containing seven burning torches. There were seven separate spaces in the rack for each torch. The fire on each torch was a different color from each of the other torches. Each torch having a separate color.

Then the Lord spoke to me and said, “Bring the first torch.” I walked to the wall and took the first torch from the rack. I turned and walked back to the table. The Lord motioned with His head to the circular fixture that looked like a cup holder that was attached to the beam at the side of the table. I realized that this stand was to be used to hold a torch, “ahh,” I thought, this will give light to the table.

When I placed the torch into the stand the surface of the table changed. I could see that the table top was a map. The plans on this map were lit up in red, just as the flame of the torch was red. The Lord spent time explaining to me all of the red details on this map. I wasn’t sure that I would remember all that Jesus was telling me but I remembered that His Word said that the Holy Spirit would bring to remembrance all that Jesus said. Then the Lord took the torch from the holder and walked over to the wall that was behind Him and put the torch into a singular torch holder that was affixed to that wall.

When He came back to the table He placed His hands on the table and motioned for me to get the second torch, this torch had a bright green flame. I brought it to the table and placed it in the holder. This time the Lord taught me about all of the green portions of the table map. When this was done He took the torch out of the holder and placed it in the same singular holder that the red torch resided. The two torches became one torch! It was a strange color of light but much brighter. When He returned to the table He had me do the same thing with the next torch. This continued through all seven torch’s until He placed the last torch into the singular torch holder. The torch became extremely bright and white. He then took that torch from it’s rack and placed into the holder. The map, with all of it’s plans, was fully illuminated.

Then the Lord instructed me to go and teach others to do what He had showed me. Most people would be performing only certain colors and portions of the map while others would perform two or even three functions. What was important for me to know was how these functions worked together to accomplish the whole plan.

This map is the map of the end of the ages. It is for the time or season that we call the last days or the end times. It encompasses the time of the seals, the trumpets, and the bowls until the coming of the Lord. What was interesting to me is the way the Lord was talking to me. It reminded me of the captain of my old paintball team who would always say to the opposing team, “See ya in the middle.” As the Lord was showing me these things, it was like He was instructing His army on earth as His army in heaven was preparing for war. We would fight from this side, they would fight from theirs and we would meet in the middle as the enemies of the Lord were vanquished.

In order to operate in this army, in cooperation with the kingdom of heaven, you must submit to all that God has called you to do. There is no longer a sense of balance or stability between heaven and earth (like there ever was one). You must abandon your life take up your cross and follow Jesus. No man can serve two masters, for he will either love the one and hate the other or hate the one and love the other.

This call to arms is not a call to a more ‘radical’ Christian life, to a ‘higher level’ of Christian living or to even a ‘closer’ relationship with God. If you abandon your own life to take up your cross and follow Jesus, all these things will be added to you immediately. Remember in Matthew 6:33, Jesus said, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.” Most of what we have come to know as doctrinal Christianity is really a methodology of excuses created by men who wanted to have their cake and eat it too. Proverbs 16:11-12 says, “A just balance and scales belong to the Lord; all the weights of the bag are His concern it is an abomination for kings to commit wicked acts, for a throne is established on righteousness.” Balance is not something for me and you to figure out. It is a relative kind of thinking that differs from excuse maker to excuse maker. Jesus said,”Follow Me.” Total abandon will be necessary to walk in the plans of the Lord in these last days. For if it were possible even the elect would be deceived. Remember, when the enemy comes against us with great wrath it is because his time is short. We will overcome him by the blood of the Lamb, and the word of our testimony, and that we did not love our own lives even unto death.

In His Service,
