The Emerald Rainbow

Before I begin this message, I would like to ask you to pray and intercede for the seventh message as the enemy hasn’t been very happy about these messages, he wants to fight; let’s give him one!

This message will be only about half prophecy as I feel I have some things to share before and after the prophetic message. It will answer the question what are we to do in these last days. Of course, we are to pray, fast and, of course, we are to live in the Word of God, and should encourage one another to do all that is right in the sight of God. But our first and foremost commandment: is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, and all our soul, and all our mind. I mean, you can pray and fast all you want but consider what God had Zechariah say to the people in Zechariah 7:5,”Say to the people of the land and to the priests, when you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months these seventy years, was it actually for Me that you fasted?” The Lord calls His people to do what is right with the motivation of loving Him this is explained in the following verses after verse seven.

In 2 Chronicles 16:7-9 King Asa receives a rebuke from a seer named Hanani because he relied on the King of Aram instead of the Lord even after seeing God deliver him from his enemies before. In verse 9 of chapter 16 Hanani continued on to say, “For the eyes of the Lord move too and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” Then Hanani continued on to rebuke King Asa saying that he was acting foolishly, in this way, that he had not completely surrendered himself and his heart to God. Verse 10 is just an a-typical reaction of a wicked man when hearing the Word of the Lord.

I could go on all day about how important it is for every Christian thing we do to come from an ultimate motivation of a love for God. Jesus said, “What good is it if you love those who treat you well, even earthly people do the same.” Love and it’s meaning will be challenged in every heart by the Holy Spirit in these last days, in fact He’s doing it right now. Many say they have love because they have a sweet and nice personality, but I tell you that many people of the earth have a nice and sweet personality as well. In fact, many Christians don’t really know how to share their faith with nice people who are unbelievers, because they appear to have all they need. This is because they don’t know what real love is and they don’t really know the love of God other wise they would have plenty to share with the nice person who doesn’t know Jesus.

God is love. And He is the only source of true love there is no love that comes from hell except for love of evil. God will even rebuke us for that in these last days. Many of us are well aware of the scripture in Malachi 2:16 where God say’s He hates divorce. That’s right! God actually hates something in fact there are many instances in the Bible that record God hating something, just get your concordance and have some fun finding this out as a study.

But how many of us are aware of what Malachi 2:17 say’s? In Malachi 2:17, You have wearied the Lord with your words. And yet you say, “How have we wearied Him?” In that you say, “everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and He delights in them,” Or, “where is the God of justice?”

Many people feel that a just God would not judge us for sin if we were a Christian. The Bible says many will come before the Lord on judgment day and say, “Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in your name, and in you name cast out demons, and in your name perform many miracles?” And then He said, “I will declare to them I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.” The key here, seems not to be all that we have done, or all that we are as a Christian, but rather in who we know and in whom we love. God is a God of justice but He judges differently than most people expect, He doesn’t look at the outward appearance of a man to see how ‘good’ he is, in fact, believing you are good because of how you appear is evil, and believing that God overlooks a wicked heart that does not belong to Him is also evil. This is why Malachi say’s that the people had wearied God in that they said, “everyone who does evil is ‘good’ in the sight of the Lord, and He delights in them,” or “where is the God of justice?”

This doesn’t mean that we are not to prophesy, or cast out demons, or perform miracles. In fact, we are commanded to do these things and to desire to do these things. However, if we do not have love for God then none of this is a valid work, not because the work it self was invalid, but because the reason it was done made it invalid. A great example of this is 1 Corinthians 14:1, where we are encouraged to desire spiritual gifts, especially that we may prophesy, but in 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 we are told, that we could have any spiritual gift and it really doesn’t matter if you don’t have love. The love that is spoken of here is not the nice person kind of love. I tell you the truth, that you could hug everyone in the world, smile at them, give them all they needed, and make sweet puckered kissy faces at them all day, and still never have a drop of love for God in your being. After all didn’t Jesus love? Yet you will be very hard pressed to find Him hugging anyone in the bible. That’s not to say that He didn’t do that it’s just to say that God didn’t find it important enough to include in His word.

The love that 1 Corinthians chapter 13 is talking about is love for God. You can not love your brother in a Christian way if you do not first love God. This is impossible. Your love will never meet the standard of God’s love.

The Emerald Rainbow

I was in worship one evening at the Prineville Assembly of God. As I was worshiped, the Spirit moved on me and I was caught up once again in the Spirit.

I was standing in a vast room, how big it was I can’t tell you. There were more worshippers than I could count! There were miles of them! In front of the worshippers on a short stage was a woman dressed in white. She was a worship leader (not a musician, the two are different). God had made her a worship leader and had put songs from heaven inside her. The love of God in her heart translated the songs on earth. As she began to lead worship I was very surprised that she did not sing but rather she spread her arms open wide and she became worship. The love in her heart for God, along with the heavenly song that God put in her, emanated from her innermost being and came out from her body as a radiant white beam of light. This beam was very loud and very powerful every emotion inside one’s soul came alive. You wanted to laugh, cry, shout, weep, and rejoice all at the same time.

As I looked at the great crowd of worshippers, I knew they were people, but at this moment, they more resembled a refractive crystal prism. As the light from the worship leader came into contact with the refractive prism’s it passed through them.

I expected the refractive prisms to worship with a white light just as the worship leader did, but instead as the light passed through the prisms it came out as a different color, each prism having a different color. Thousands, and thousands, and thousands of prisms each was having their own distinct and individual color.

These colors were not like colors on earth; in heaven there are so many colors, such a wide array of hues, that earth is gray in comparison. Something else unique about these colors was that each color also had its own smell and own sound. The sound of the color’s were like the sound of heaven, a great tumultuous sound that was so wonderful, so unbelievable, so beautiful and so clear that you could listen for a thousand years and never cease to be awe struck by the glorious sounds. The smell of the worship was as euphoric as it was exhilarating. There is literally peace, love, and joy in the smell and sound of the love for God that comes through His people. After all, who put that love there in the first place.

As the colors came out of the refractive prism’s (the people) they did not go straight back as I expected they would but instead as the light passed through the worshippers, the color that went out of them went straight up and began to intertwine in the air. In the Spirit, I followed these colors as they went up. It seemed as if it took forever. I followed the colors to their destination. By this time they had intertwined so much that they had become one color. The color was that of the most brilliant clear emerald you have ever seen and yet inside the color there seemed to be a large current of something that looked like electricity. I watched the emerald worship as I followed it.

Suddenly I was stopped in the air and I looked forward to see an awesome sight. I saw the throne of God. He was sitting on the throne. I watched as the emerald beam fed into an eternally existing emerald rainbow that wrapped around the throne of God; It surrounded His throne. He reached out with His arms and pulling back His sleeves grabbed a large portion of the emerald rainbow with His hands.

He took the portion and slapped it together in His hands. It was a very great noise. The emerald substance splattered on Him. As he held His hands forward I could see they were covered with the emerald substance and with a greatly pleased voice He shook heaven saying, “I greatly desire this, the love of My people.”

You will never be good enough, nice enough, or sweet enough to get close to God. Only by getting close to God will you be made ‘good enough’. God is searching for a people whose heart is completely His.

God isn’t just looking for a people that agree with Him, He is looking for a people who love Him. Jesus spent the last week of His human life on earth preaching and teaching things that were so hard for people to hear that many of them left Him. He even told them that if they wanted to have a part with Him that they must eat his flesh and drink His blood! The Bible says that this was a hard statement. Jesus continued to challenge the love of those who followed Him even to the point that He went to Golgotha, alone. The Bible records that Peter followed Jesus but just as Jesus said, Peter denied Him and went away weeping. The Bible records that John and Mary were at the foot of the cross before Jesus died but earlier John had ran away when the temple guards and officials came to take Jesus away; And Mary was no where to be seen, until she was at the foot of the cross with John. This seems like a very bad way to start a church, but Jesus is not interested in the amount of people, as much as He is interested in the kind of people.

Isn’t it interesting that Jesus didn’t spend His life on earth telling people about the composition of the universe, the scientific cure for every disease, the make-up of DNA, and many other scientific intellectual wonders. So that human kind would spend the next two thousand years finding out that Jesus was RIGHT. How easy it would be to follow Jesus if the world could see that He was right. Jesus, however chose to base our relationship with Him on faith, hope and love the greatest of these being love. And, as Jesus said, “Love for God is to be our first and foremost love.”

Your mind can understand but only your heart can believe, but our hearts are desperately wicked. We must, must, must draw near to God. Then He will draw near to us and He will heal our wicked hearts, fill us with faith, which is a substance, and hope, which is a substance, and real love, which is the greatest of these substances.
