How many times have we found ourselves distraught and overcome by the difficulties that are happening in our lives? It is hard to endure and always seems to go on longer than it should. We are desperate. We cry out to God for victory. Lord, make it all just go away.
To use a cliché, “Life is not easy”. The Lord never promised us it would be.
Good news is that when we stay under the umbrella of God’s protection, His care and His instruction- we can carry on in victory. This all hinges on what we choose though.
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are saved. Proverbs 18:10
What does that mean to run to the name of the Lord?
How would we be saved by His name?
Because of what Jesus did for us, we can come to the Father and petition Him in the name of Jesus. Without the name of Jesus Christ, without the finished work of Jesus, we cannot approach God.
There is no other Name by which we are saved.
It is through Jesus that we are saved from our sins. We must first repent of those sins before we can be rescued. When we come to Him humbly repenting, the good news is that He is faithful and just to forgive us. Every time.
When we reject Jesus, we choose death and destruction.
When we choose Jesus, we choose life.
So, follow God’s way, it leads to abundant life.
