Rebuild the City – Prophetic Word to the Church 10/03/15

We are the city of God.

We have been plundered

and weakened

until we have almost no defenses,

almost no walls, almost no watchmen, almost no warriors, almost no workmen in the fields.

When the Lord’s enemies want something, they come and take it.

There have been some who have been strong and courageous and slung many arrows and shook fists at the enemy’s raiding parties – but much has been lost. Much ground. Many souls taken away, as well. We have been disgraced. A reproach.

In the days of the king Artaxerxes, the City had been destroyed. The Lord’s city, Jerusalem, was essentially gone. God’s people were under Babylonian captivity for 70 years. They were disgraced.

Through the inspiration of God and His releasing, Nehemiah was released with tremendous favor to rebuild. After coming back to the City and surveying it, he addressed the people there:

Then I [Nehemiah] said to them, “You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come and let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.”

And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king’s words that he had spoken to me.

So they said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work.

Nehemiah 2:17-18

The words of Nehemiah struck their hearts and spoke to their desire to set about rebuilding what had been lost. They saw that this was Good work. Even when strong opposition came, they persevered. God’s city was rebuilt.

Today, even as we are in disgrace and destroyed, The Lord is calling us to rise up. We must gather ourselves together in unity and strength.

We can rebuild our city. The City of God.

We can take back souls.

We can take back land.

You can be a part of that. The Lord is calling us to it.

Lord, rescue me

ZionFire.org - Prophetic teaching, Biblical Truth, Edification -- Lord Rescue Me! Spiritual Warfare Trials Faith Prayer Help In Time Of TroubleHow many times have we found ourselves distraught and overcome by the difficulties that are happening in our lives? It is hard to endure and always seems to go on longer than it should. We are desperate. We cry out to God for victory. Lord, make it all just go away.

To use a cliché, “Life is not easy”. The Lord never promised us it would be.
Good news is that when we stay under the umbrella of God’s protection, His care and His instruction- we can carry on in victory. This all hinges on what we choose though.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are saved. Proverbs 18:10

What does that mean to run to the name of the Lord?
How would we be saved by His name?
Because of what Jesus did for us, we can come to the Father and petition Him in the name of Jesus. Without the name of Jesus Christ, without the finished work of Jesus, we cannot approach God.
There is no other Name by which we are saved.

It is through Jesus that we are saved from our sins. We must first repent of those sins before we can be rescued. When we come to Him humbly repenting, the good news is that He is faithful and just to forgive us. Every time.

When we reject Jesus, we choose death and destruction.
When we choose Jesus, we choose life.
So, follow God’s way, it leads to abundant life.

In The Fire – Enduring Trials and Tribulation

In the fire we are tested. In the fire we are purified. Will we break? Or will we become a shining reflection of Jesus? When we read about Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego we may be tempted to dismiss them as a children’s story. Don’t make the mistake! These guys are powerful witnesses of faith. They were a few young men who loved God but were captured by their enemy and then forced to work for a powerful government. The enemy king at the time had become very prideful, wallowed in sin and served idols. It was a dangerous place to be for all the captured Israelites. Every day they faced unbelievable persecution and slavery. Still they stood up well and served while serving the Lord in their hearts. We do not know how many close calls they had with torture or death. We know that at some point, the king commanded everyone to worship a false god and our heroes made a choice that would bring their deaths for sure. They would not bow. Enraged, the king chose execution by fire in a kiln. He was going to cook and vaporize these men. Imagine what Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego were thinking as they looked at the furnace before being thrown in. I doubt they had 100% holy thoughts. They had to have been afraid, but they were resolved to not turn away from the Lord. They KNEW who they served. The Bible tells us that as they were in the furnace, these men were not killed or even burned. A fourth man, Jesus, could be seen in there with them. Their miraculous encounter with Jesus turned this idol worshiping king to the one true Lord and a nation would follow suit. These young men literally went into a fire and walked out without even the scent of smoke on them. An incredible account from history that we all can take a lesson from! Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego lived in the middle of idolatry and had to serve in an idolatrous government. The things they had to witness and endure in this kind of environment probably made their skin crawl, yet they did not give up serving the Lord. Many many Israelites had long since given up. By these young men’s faithfulness, God was glorified and a nation turned to Him. If they had not chosen to stand for the Lord, we would never have heard about them and the country would have continued serving idols.

The Lord can do great things through a righteous person and bless them in the process.

Take heart. Stand firm. Persevere.

Destruction of America

After October 8 (the second blood moon) I will begin again writing articles here on Zionfire. Lately I have been posting videos and even then, very few and far between. The first article that I will write will be to clearly explain through scripture by the Spirit of God what I know will happen to the United States of America, and what we as Christians are called to do during these times. I have had several people ask me over the years if I believe that there is anyone in the world who has been given accurate revelation about the United States and it’s future. So for the last time before the upcoming season of articles I will submit these two videos that I believe have accurate messages. The first is a message by David Wilkerson. The video I will post from him is from a vision he received in the early 70′s, much of the things he says in his message have already very accurately come to pass, but there was no way for him to know without revelation that those things would occur. Some of the other things have not yet come to pass. The second video will seem a bit more ‘out there’ to some folks because it is from a show called The Prophecy Club. I have watched a couple of people on that show before (Dimitri Dudiman, Henry Gruver) both were right on as far as I’m concerned. This video takes a culmination of several prophets from all over the World( none of these people are really well known especially in the perverse ‘prophetic movement’) and compares what these people are saying over the years.

Destruction of America

Blood Moon Tetrad, Israel, and the very last days.

The sun will be turned into to darkness and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come. Acts 2: 20 ( Joel 2: 31)

It isn’t any great prophetic revelation at this point for me to be talking about the Blood Moon Tetrad event that is happening right now.  But some folks still don’t really know what is going on even though they have heard about it many times.  And I defiantly don’t want to watch one more of the most major events in history pass without saying something about it, espessially since the next blood moon occures October 8th which is just ten days away.  Basically a ‘Blood Moon’ occurs when you have a lunar eclipse during a full moon, which in itself is a rare event, then you add a four blood moon tetrad which is four consecutive blood moons spaced an even six months apart,…obviously more rare.  But, add to all of that a four blood moon tetrad in which all four occurrences land on Jewish high holidays and they are actual Feasts of the Lord!  Ok now the mathematical probabilities for coincidence are out the window.  Then add to that a solar eclipse that will occur between the second and third blood moon AND that one of the blood moons will be a super moon that will be right over Jerusalem at it’s most visible point and ….WOW!  So what relevance does all of this have to Bible prophecy?  Well basically I am going to post a video that will make this all very clear I think this video can do a much better job than I can explaining what is going on.  The video is from a show called It’s Supernatural with Sid Roth featuring a Mark Biltz who has extensively studied the blood moon tetrad event. Regardless of what your opinions are about Sid or his show (I personally really like the guy though I don’t always agree with him), this is something you must see.

Video – Mark Biltz, Blood Moon Tetrad

I am going to add a second video which is a little though provoking about the events that could likely occur in Israel and set off major end time events. The video starts a little different but it really covers a lot of ground. So if your dedicated to learning a little more than the first video, this will help. Also if anyone has a better video please let me know and I will post it.

Wolf Whispers: Know Your Enemy satan

Just like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, satan prowls deceptively among the people of God. He spreads dangerous lies and his doctrines of demons have infiltrated the Church. Satan never relents in his quest to lead the sheep away from the Great Shepherd Jesus. His methods are crafty, surreptitious and often imperceptible. We need to know what the enemy is speaking into the hearts of the sheep.

John knew. He was keenly aware of the false gospel being industriously promoted within the church. John spent a great deal of time noting and correcting the false teachings being systematically circulated. He knew exactly what was being said and he worked to undo the damage (1 John 2:18-23, 1 John 2:26, 1 John 3:4-10, 1 John 4:1-3, 1 John 4:6, 1 John 5:1-13, 2 John 1:7)

But what is the enemy speaking to the “modern” church?

We must go back to the beginning to know satan’s slimy methods– From Genesis 3 we see the primary tactics satan uses against us. He lingered by the tree waiting for his chance. Aside from putting for thoughts of doubt regarding God’s motives for His people, satan begins rewording what the Lord had said. He took a bit of truth and wrapped it in a lie. He has not changed his methods with the modern church. His methods work so why bother with a new way of deluding?

Imagine a mousetrap. You choose a certain location, put a tempting treat to bait it with and then set the trap very carefully. It looks good and smells good. You know that you will catch the unsuspecting mouse that is looking for a nice meal. The trap is perfect because the mouse thinks it has won the prize. He is oblivious to the truth and dies in his happy delusion. False doctrine and false teaching is the same thing. Our enemy knows us well and satan sets the trap with a yummy piece of truth. (With Adam and Eve it was fruit from the “Tree Of The Knowledge Of Good & Evil”) Common offerings of truth from the Bible are set right into the middle of a false teaching to make the lie palatable. An example of some true statements used all the time wrapped inside a false teaching: “God is loving”, “God is forgiving”, “God wants us to be in unity”, “Love your neighbor”, “Do not judge”, “God has set you apart”, “God wants to bless you”, “God has a great inheritance for you”, “You are a priest”, “You can move mountains”, “You have authority”, “Flee from religion”, “The Pharisees are out to get you”, “We wrestle not with flesh and blood”. I am sure you have heard them, too. People hear these, recognize the truth in it and then trustingly & naively swallow the whole thing that was preached along with it. The truth masks the false teaching that ran clear through. Snap! The trap has caught it’s victim.

We should become familiar with major new teachings and fads that the church flocks to. If that means listening to a sermon or reading their book, then we need to do that.

How else are we to adequately unravel the works of the enemy? However, I think it is important that I say, and to stress, that we should not devote large portions of our time studying the messages of false prophets and teachers.

Some examples of material* that has infiltrated the Church-

The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren

Seven Mountains by C Peter Wagner

Prayer Of Jabez by Bruce Wilkinson

Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller

Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell

and anything by Bill Johnson of Bethel in Redding CA

False teachings always have a portion of truth to entice and convince the audience. The convinced people then internalize the false teaching and it becomes part of them and their perceptions. Their internal doctrine, if you will. This is clearly very dangerous. Many times we try to reach this group of people by making broad sweeping gestures with our hand and proclaim it is all lies. But what fruit comes of that method? What good have we done? Nothing good, that is for sure. By taking an attacking stance and armed only with hearsay, we accomplish almost nothing. We only alienate the hearer of our words, instead of pointing them toward the Lord and away from a false Gospel. We must be able to delineate. We must know specifics.

A serious consequence of not really knowing the specifics in a false doctrine or teaching is that our response to it is, as a result, nonspecific. The mistake also comes when we have no real details and then pair it with coming down very hard on the individuals or group. Instantly the walls have gone up with these deluded people. They will not listen. They label you a Pharisee. That is not good, my friend. If you are hearing “Pharisee” in reply to your statements, then I challenge you to rethink your approach. Of course, there are always those that will cry “Pharisee” or something similar to anything said to them that might call attention to their mistake in following a false teaching. You cannot do a whole lot to help them- they are stiff-necked. But it is important to see that often WE are too quick to label everyone stiff-necked instead of reevaluating our own approach.
* The Lord will sometimes use material that is polluted to touch and move in a person’s life. We must realize that simply because we were “touched” or healed in some false prophet’s meeting or read a book with a false gospel and it somehow helped us, does not mean that ministry is a good or valid ministry. It only means that God used this tainted deceptive thing you have exposed yourself to, to work some measure of good in you despite the offensive source. He works all things for the good of those who love Him and often uses the evil present in our lives to speak to us in various forms. If you find you have been exposing yourself in such a way, repent and turn from your wicked ways… even if your friends and church are accepting it.

Calibration Block 3-A,B, and C

It has taken me quite awhile to write part three of this message, I assure you it isn’t because I didn’t want to but this has been a very difficult and somewhat intimidating article to write.  As these articles progress it becomes clear the immensity and depth of our calling and what it means to truly examine ourselves with Christ as the measuring stick. Of course non of us will ever be Jesus, but as Christians we are all called to be like Him and if we are truly His then He is transforming us into His image from glory to glory. However sometimes I think many including myself(more often than I care to mention) forget what, and who glory is. Instead we choose to come up with our own definition of what is Christ-like rather than what truly is like Christ. The only real reason that this happens is because all to often we find another glory, something other than Jesus that captures our attention, our focus, and gains our adoration. It takes alot to care and nurture another glory and it is easy for a person to end up serving another master, and obeying the will of something that is in opposition to the will of God.  In this third part of the calibration block, the will of God is going to be the issue. The question that was posed at the end of part two of the calibration block was, what are the three reasons that Jesus gives that the people of Matthew 7: 21-23 were not allowed to enter the Kingdom of Heaven? These are the people who had prophesied in Jesus name, cast out demons, and in Jesus name had performed many miracles and yet they were not allowed into the Kingdom of Heaven by the very Jesus by whom they had done all these spiritual works. So in review, the three reasons are, 1) They were not doing the will of the Father(even if they were doing the things that are supposed to be done for God). 2) Jesus says He doesn’t even know them. and 3) they practiced lawlessness.  Since these three reasons cover so much space I decided to tackle them one at a time in three separate ‘sub articles’, and since I have had such a hard time writing this final part of the calibration block, I have decided to do this via video rather than write it. The video has it’s challenges but it is the first of many to come, so please click ‘play’ and see if the Word of God and the Spirit of God aren’t speaking the very same things to you.

I am going to add all three of the Calibration Part three videos to this one post so that all three will be stored together. So here is part 3-B. This video has it’s ‘hot spots’ all the way to the end. I really enjoyed this part.

Last but not least here is section C to part three, I hit a couple of side note rabbit trails on this one, but not too bad, and I always get right back to the point, there is some good stuff in this video that you don’t want to miss if you have been watching the series. As far as the rabbit trails, I will get better I promise.

Lawlessness and The Church

Though there are plenty of important discussions debating the semantics of whether or not Christians are subject to the Law, as given by Moses, that is not my subject today.

Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

Proverbs 29:18

When you think of someone who does not keep the law, what do you see? Is it a stereotype you imagine, a rough looking individual? Does the phrase “cast off restraint” make you think of Mardi Gras in New Orleans? At its most basic definition, lawlessness means without law. That does not necessarily mean against the law. It is a very important distinction we must see.

The spirit of lawlessness has borders that might surprise the average believer and there are some very interesting ways this spirit affects people. In fact, it may shock you to hear that most people today have it. A spirit of lawlessness has paved the way in the hearts of men to think and do a myriad of appalling things.

The subject of lawlessness goes deep and has far reaching ramifications. The distance of which, we as the Church, underestimate.

To begin with, God makes the rules. He set the laws of nature, of what is love, what is holy and so on. He set them all, regardless if we accept them as true or not. We cannot rewrite the laws, the standard, that God set into motion. But that is exactly what we try to do. We are ridiculous and head strong.

Each of us has our own personal concepts and our personal defining of what is right and wrong, even in light of scripture we do this. We actually put our individual self on the scale of righteousness. Like a shade of gray on the spectrum from black to white. If Adam did that and shifted the awareness of his own sinfulness and need for the Lord and then next generation shifted that a notch down the ladder? Multiply that from generation to generation further on the scale away from holiness. Our “perceptions” are so far off the mark now that we are standing neck deep in sin and claim we are barely up to our ankles.

“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.”

Matthew 24:12

This personal standard (pure invention) of right and wrong sets up an entire panorama of justification for sin and perception on who is in error. Yes, it means hating God’s law in many cases (some would argue “all cases”), but this lawless spirit goes farther. Some of it is along the lines of ‘what is right for you is not what is right for me’ but that is way over simplified. Really that is just the first layer. The foundation being- we as creatures are steeped in sin and we refuse to conform or obey ANY standard unless we ourselves judge it to be acceptable. By doing that- we are setting our own laws– not conforming, but instead copying portions of a premade set of standards. Creating our own new set, and because these new laws are our own, we can flex them and bend them to allow ourselves to still be “sinless” in our own eyes and therefore above judgment. What a set up! We are fooling ourselves. It is exactly as if we are plugging our ears and singing “Free To Be You And Me” as loudly as we can, all the while believing that butterflies and sunshine await us when we die. Denying truth and embracing the lie.

Jesus said, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”

Matthew 7:23

“Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

Matthew 13:40-42

We cannot reject God’s law without consequence. We are not above judgment. We are not sinless. We do not set the standard. So then, what can we do? Can we correct this gross distortion our society (and the Church) is entrenched with? Perhaps. I believe we need to start within each of ourselves and teach our children as well. We must pull in the reigns on our ideologies. Correct our vision. We must get on our faces before the Most Holy and pray for revelation:

Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

Proverbs 29:18

When we receive revelation FROM GOD, we see clearly. The false perceptions we have fall off like scales from our eyes. Restraint becomes very important suddenly… Righteous living, or rather living within the standard that God has set, has enormous significance as a result. Therefore, our personal relationship with the Lord will intensify and deepen. One by one, we raise the societal standard of righteousness and holy living… OR one by one we each lower that standard.

Today, the Church has a choice.

.

The Calibration Block(part 2)

Calibration Block (part 2)

So just to re-cap from the first part of this message, let me once again define in my own words what calibration is. Calibration is simply bringing anything, any tool, any devise, or any appliance into alignment with a standard value. In other words calibration means making something accurate and true. Calibration could involve making an oven read accurate temperatures in it’s display, so that whatever temperature it reads is exactly the temperature that is in the oven. Calibration could involve tuning a piano to play the right notes in accordance with the right keys. Or it could involve getting a rifle to be dead on with it’s rifle scope at 100 yards. No matter how you look at it calibration is alignment of a tool with a separate guide or ‘standard’. In the case of the oven, the display reading will have to be tuned with a master temp gauge that actually goes in the oven and reads the temp directly(this tool also has to be calibrated). The piano will have to be tuned to calibrated set of tuning forks by a master tuner or he will use an electronic devise, and, you guessed it, even those tools have to be calibrated. And the rifle will be made to come into alignment with the scope using a laser boresighting tool.

For those of us who are believers in Jesus Christ calibration simply means coming into alignment with the Word of God. And even more specifically into alignment with Jesus Himself. And why is that? Because Jesus Himself is the Word. Why just read John 1: 1-15, the Bible in one way or another is a testimony of Jesus Himself on many different levels. So much so that it is easy to see why He is called ‘the Living Word’. We are called to come into alignment with Jesus because He is the Living Word of God. We are called to be dead to this World and alive in Jesus Christ. After all the first commandment Jesus ever gave to His Disciples was “follow me”, make no mistake about it, when He said follow me He meant leave your life and and find your life in me. He wanted them to believe and follow His Words AND His actions to the point that all who followed Him emulated His very life. In this way we who follow Jesus become a light unto the World just as He was a light unto the World. But we are not a ‘true’ light if we are not ‘in calibration’ with the master, and that is Christ Himself. So in order to be calibrated to Jesus we must come into exact direct alignment with His Word. And I do mean His Word and not our own definition of what His Word should be in our opinion, but what is actually there. Many people find this to be challenging to say the least and some see it as impossible. Because they want both the World and Jesus, but as Jesus said “no one can serve two Masters for he will either hate the one and love the other, or love the one and hate the other”.

Most ‘challenging’ Bible teaching is done just to show rebellious people that they have a problem with God and they need to change, this is even the root of the salvation message. Many rebellious people don’t seem to be angrily or purposefully rebellious, but then their rebellion is against God because in their heart they don’t feel God is loving or understanding enough and therefore He is the one that needs to change and not them. And yet they will hide this from themselves trying to believe they have no problem with God, that is until His Word ends up right in their face showing them God in yet one more way they didn’t really want to see Him. So they make up all kinds of personal little doctrines to make God appear more ‘loving’ in their own eyes.

And why? Because they want to judge God Himself using their own heart and feelings as a measuring stick for His Word. So inevitably their Bibles will gather dust while their refrigerator begins to get covered with all kinds of pretty new magnets containing misconstrued scriptures and heart felt little sayings that are later mistaken for scripture itself in their own minds. In fact you can take choice little pieces of scripture from all different places in the Bible and stick them all together to form a ‘new Gospel’ that sounds similar to the one found in God’s Word but is really just a twisting of His own Words in His own mouth to create an alternate ‘salvation’ that doesn’t require obedience to God’s Holy Word at all. This is just one of the many ways that people introduce God to their own man made salvation designed just for Him,..a salvation from looking like a big ol’ meanie in the sky, a salvation from looking like He just doesn’t understand the hearts of His own creation, a salvation from looking uncaring and unloving. It is just so blasphemous I can barely write this, I am almost breaking down with grief and sorrow as I write this. This is what happens when humans try to calibrate Jesus to themselves.

Many people demand that God accepts them the way they are, and that if He were truly loving He would see that even though they are not perfect their intentions are good, so if He were truly merciful and full of ‘grace’ He would cut them a break. These people are just sure they are a more advanced form of Christian than those ‘Bible thumpers’ because they understand people and they ‘get’ peoples hearts because in their own mind God has made them so loving and kind. In fact if they were in charge of the Universe there would be no need for judgment of any kind because they would just love everyone into tears and reconciliation with Heaven and there would be teddy bears, and rainbows, and chocolate for everyone.

Listen to me! I will say this really, really clear, Jesus may love you the way you are, but He does not accept you the way you are. If He did there would be no need for salvation, and no change would be required from us to receive eternal life or a relationship with God. The goal of the Word of God isn’t to get God to accept us the way we are, it’s to reveal to us God and His ways so that we will do something very, very, very, necessary! We need to accept God the way He is! This is true worship!

God has never told us that He will accept us the way we are, and He has been very clear about the fact that a relationship with Him involves us constantly changing as we continually learn to come into alignment with His Word, His ways, and HIS HEART,…because our hearts are, as the Bible says, desperately wicked(Jeremiah 17:9). In other words in order to have a relationship with God and to receive salvation we MUST change and we must change in accordance with His Word. He loves us so much that He gave us the life and the blood of His own Son so that we would even be able to be made clean so that we would have the privilege to obey His Word,…We must be cleansed by the Blood of Jesus and obey the Word of God and then and only then can we be made acceptable in His site.

Hell is full of people that Jesus loves, the reason that those people ended up in hell isn’t because Jesus didn’t love them it’s because they rejected Jesus, because they couldn’t accept Him the way He is. The Bible even says that we can do many great things in the name of Jesus and still not know Him because we are lawless(do not obey His commandments, or heed His Word). Consider Matthew 7: 21-23.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.22“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.” Matthew 7:21-23

The people speaking to Jesus on judgment day in this passage are saying that they operated in the power of God in the name of Jesus apparently they were doing this to glorify God(how many today even do this?) So what were the reasons Jesus gave that they would not enter into Heaven? I mean after all isn’t every one who calls on the name of the Lord saved just as Acts 2:21 says??? Well there is alot I could say about Acts 2:21 in fact that is a whole teaching and that is another day but basically in Matthew 7: 21-23 Jesus says with His own mouth that not everyone who calls Him Lord will be saved. The people in this passage speaking to Jesus were serving Jesus in accordance with their own ideas of the way they should serve the Lord. They had their own ideas as to what was pleasing to God. Does that mean we shouldn’t cast out demons, heal the sick, and prophecy? Are we somehow more likely to avoid judgment if we just ignore the power of God as a part of our testimony all together? Of course not, we should do all those things because those are some of the things Jesus taught us to do as followers of Him. In fact the power of God is part of the very Gospel message itself, and those who really follow Jesus will run right into the power of God anyway it is inevitable. So what are the reasons that Jesus calls these people workers of iniquity and tells them to depart from Him? Well basically Jesus gives three reasons, 1) Only those who do the will of the Father will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. 2) Jesus never actually knew them. 3) They practiced lawlessness.

I want to take a look at these three reasons that the people in this passage will not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but as usual my fingers are getting a little long winded, and this article is getting a little long. These three reasons are so important because it helps us identify what it means to be in calibration with the Word of God and with the will of God in ways we may not have considered. Also it seems that many will go to judgment day thinking they are right on with God and they really aren’t so right on. Some feel that the manifestations of power in their life are the evidence that they are in alignment with God and some feel that their character and their version of love is the evidence that they are right with God. This is why I really want to finish examining what Jesus had to say to the people standing before Him on judgment day, because honestly I really do not want to be standing with that crowd at that moment, and I tell you the truth, I have stood in that place many times in my life and it was really easy to get there. So I will finish the calibration block with a part three,…and yes I WILL finish it in part three(Lord willing).

The calibration block (part 1)

,

It has been some time since the Holy Spirit has revealed anything to me by way of a vision. Usually He deals with me through revelation of the Word of God (the Bible). I have spent most of my Christian life walking in the gift of teaching, and even though I have been used in the prophetic, and at times have been consumed by the prophetic, I have always loved the teaching. I especially love the kind of teaching that proves the Word of God to be exactly what it claims to be. I love to show people the scientific, the archaeological, and the Bible prophecy that proves that the Word of God is accurate and indisputable. I think however that I have loved teaching so much because it is safe, comfortable, and rewarding even when the message is challenging to the point of searing. Because when you are teaching you can usually point to a source of your teaching and ultimately the responsibility of your words lands on the origin of the message. For example if I am teaching the ten commandments and someone hates the fact that the ten commandments tells you that adultery is wrong. Then, even though I am teaching the Word,….it is God’s Word and not mine, even if I believe it so much that it is a part of my own DNA. And therefore that persons problem is with God and His Word and not me personally. So in that respect teaching seems so much more ‘safe’ than prophecy does. Because there is no way for me to prove to you the source of my prophetic revelation or word.

The one thing I can tell you when gauging whether what you have just heard is a true word of prophecy or a revelation by the Spirit is to look at the motivation of the word. Is the word expressing God’s desires? Is it a call for people to return to the Lord? Or to come into alignment with His Word? Is the word calling people to draw closer to the Lord by walking in His ways fulfilling His desires? Is it an encouragement to continue to do the things that please the Lord? Or a rebuke causing us to turn from sin that is destroying our communion with the Lord? Or is the ‘word’ a message that pets the flesh desiring to please men and not God? Causing people to become pleased with the speaker of the word, for the personal gain of the speaker. I say all of this because the first half of the calibration block message will not be as full of the Word as I am used to posting, even though the second half will be chopped full of the usual weight of scripture. So as you read this or any other message from someone speaking a prophetic word or revelation please always consider motivation as one of the discerning factors. Of course there is no replacement for discernment that comes from the Holy Spirit Himself, and if your spiritual ears have become attuned to His voice then He will guide you. As Jesus said to His disciples, “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you. John 16:12-15

So I am going to begin this teaching by relaying something the Holy Spirit spoke to me back in 2003 that has changed the way I think and the way I teach ever since that time. In 2003 I was working the graveyard shift at a Titanium casting facility in Central Oregon. I worked in the straightening department where we would re-align the castings structurally according to specific blue print specifications. It is a very technical job as it has to be, because many of those castings are for aircraft that the lives of many people will depend on being structurally sound. So the specifications are very tight and the quality control very rigid. One of the tools we use to measure the castings with is a large rock table made of solid granite usually very thick, very large, very heavy, and, very precise. The surface of the table is usually within a flatness of at least .001 thousandths of an inch. So basically if you divided an inch up into a thousand equal pieces the entire surface of your table should be accurate within the tolerance of one of those little thousandths. The table has to be that flat as much of the measuring equipment used to evaluate the castings will be set up on the granite rock which will ensure an accurate reliable measuring of the castings.

I tell you about the table only to tell you that at break time I didn’t really want to go to the break room so I just sat back in my chair and put my feet up on the rock, it doesn’t hurt the rock, but wow what an expensive foot rest. As you can guess there is some significance as to what I am about to share and having my feet up resting on a rock of this kind. As I was was sitting there the Holy Spirit spoke something to me in that quiet moment. He asked me to identify all the different kinds of measuring equipment we had in that facility. Oh wow! there are so many different kinds of measuring tools it would have taken me all night to track them down. So I began to relay in my mind all of the different measuring tools we had in the building. Some of the tools are very cheap, inexpensive, easy to find tools, and some of the measuring tools are hundreds of thousands of dollars and very large requiring specifically trained operators to use them. And there are some measuring tools that get used constantly having to be replaced from time to time for wear and others that almost never see use for years, those tools usually have very specific purposes. But there is one thing all these tools have in common and it is what the Holy Spirit asked me about next.
After I had gone through countless different types of measuring tools(I still wasn’t done) the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “now calibrate them”.
For those of you not familiar with the process of calibration it is simple and it is the one thing that must happen to ALL measuring tools or they will not be valid, usable tools. To calibrate a measuring tool you must measure a very specific set of precision ground blocks with the tool that is requiring calibration. There are at least seven blocks in most sets of calibration blocks. The measuring equipment must be tuned in perfect alignment with the calibration blocks so that the equipment will measure accurately when it is use. If the tool for some reason cannot be calibrated it must be thrown away or repaired no matter how expensive it is because it is no longer a reliable tool of measurement as it is not in alignment with the calibration blocks.
Here’s the clincher and you don’t want to miss this, the calibration blocks are called ‘The master set’ and they are known as ‘the standard’. That’s when the Holy Spirit spoke to me concerning Jesus showing me that Jesus is the standard and the Master!
It was then that I realized that I was being shown that all of those measuring tools were like all of the people who are following Jesus. Some great, some small, some of great apparent value, and some some not considered very valuable, some were used all the time, some used hardly ever. Also The tools are of many different configurations just like Christians are all gifted uniquely and differently. However like the measuring equipment, unless we are in alignment with the Master or ‘The Standard’ we are good for nothing to the Lord any more no matter how great our giftings, or abilities, or influence.
In other words we must be in perfect alignment with Jesus Himself or we are not really, truly followers of His. As Jesus said in the book of John, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. John 15:5-7

The Word of God (The Bible) tells us who Jesus is. In the ‘Old Testament’ there was prophecy of the coming Messiah and a revealing of the heart of God Himself and what He calls righteousness. In the Gospels we read the stories of Jesus and we read His very own Words telling us who He is, what He wants us to be, and what we can expect if we follow Him. And even in the Book of Revelation we read Jesus Words to John as He is speaking to John the messages He had for the Christians of seven major Churches, words that still ring true to our Churches today concerning the desire of Christ for those that follow Him. We need to understand that Jesus was teaching us to be just like Him, obviously we are not Jesus, but He wants us to be like Him. We are to follow Him in every respect that He Himself taught us to. He didn’t teach a special Gospel that was only relevant to the people of His day on Earth and another Gospel for the ‘modern Church’. As Jesus said in Matthew 10:24 “The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master. So there is no ‘advanced’ Gospel for those who become to great to follow the simplicity of the message that Jesus gave us to preach and the power He gave us to preach it with.

Peter understood this when he was in a boat rowing across the sea of Galilee during a storm. He and the Disciples all saw someone walking across the sea in the storm, they were so afraid of what they saw that they thought it was a ghost. That is when Jesus told them, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Peter, upon hearing this and knowing Jesus as closely as he did said to Jesus, “Lord, if it’s you, tell me to come to you on the water.” Why would Peter think that if it was Jesus He would want Peter to do exactly what He was doing?
Now this is the one word answer that chokes me up every time. Jesus answered Peter and said, “Come”. What Jesus was doing was unheard of and unless it was recorded in the Bible we would have never believed that Jesus would have performed such a sign. But not only did He do it, but he was more than happy to call any disciple that dare do what they were supposed to do, and get out of their safe little boat and get into the scary water and follow Jesus while doing the absolute impossible. And why? Because Jesus did it, and He wants us to follow His words and His actions as true followers of Jesus Christ.
